It has been a decade since a US EP-3 crashed with a Chinese J-8 fighter. People seem to forget this at all. Funny that Chinese always remind others not to forget the history, which they seldom remember. Especially, this is not a graceful event or an event can serve any purpose.

Watching from the footage shoot by the EP-3, it seems that J-8 should take the responsibility. But a person lost his life in his position. It is sad that people intend to forget it.

The color profile is for the J-8II 81192 which is collided with the EP-3. The pilot of the J-8II was Wang Wei.

I am pleaesd to let you know that I have an article about the J-10 published in current issue of the Airforces Monthly titled The Tale of The Vigorous Dragon. Airforce Monthly ‘provies the best military aviation news coverage from a round the globe and is essential reading for anyone seeking a well-informed view’.

The article is about J-10’s genealogy, dating back to its origin, covering all the current versions and describing the future development.

This color profile is for the Rafale C 113-IQ i deployed in Libyan No-Fly Zone operation.

Did not have chances to go to the front line, but depending on the images revealed from the media, the Rafale 113-IQ might be the first to engage in the No-Fly Zone operation, as it is the only Rafale that carries Thales Airborne Reconnaissance Electro Optical System (AREOS) pod. The trials of this pod began at 2009/2010. It is not thought it could be used so early in the Operation Harmattan. As reported, this pod is used for the final confirmation of the target.

The 113-IQ is from EC 01.007 Provence, deployed at Saint-Dizier. Aviation fans might be familiar with this plane, as it has attended MAKS09 airshow.

So much happened recently in the world. I was a bit surprised when hear the news that a F-15 crashed in Libya . Is it too much for a ‘supporting role’?

The fallen F-15 is the 91-0304 from 492nd Fighter Squadron, 48th Fighter Wing,USAF ,RAF Lakenheath, England.

Last week’s Japan earthquake really shocked me. I became interested in Japanese culture in recent years. I seems to be able understand more about their culture after this tragic event, like why they want to be famous at such young age and why they have novel like Japan Sinks.

Anyway, this color profile is for F-2 23-8114 from  21 Hikotai, 4 Kokudan, JASDF Matsushima AFB. This base is hit by the tsunami. This plane hits the building.

One of Japanese samurais Date Masamune was the founder Sendai, where Matsushima AFB is located. So, this squadron always treat Date Masamune as their idol. They painted many special schemes with the image of Date Masamune on F-2s. I will continuously make more color prints for those F-2s. But for now, only this one is finished.

I attended 2010 China Air show photo competition. I had a chance to take pictures for the August 1st’s pilots and got a closer look of J-10 aircraft.

August 1st’s pilots, people from design team and air hostesses.

I spent some time indoor of the air show. I discovered this interesting item. This model is displayed by Aviation Industry Corporation of China. It looks like a sci-fi flight vehicle appeared in films like Avatar. But the concept is quite old, which could dates back to 1940s. It was quite popular then. Focke-Wulf VTOL Project is one of them. Whether this project could be carried out depends on if China can properly handle the control part. Hopefully, this helicopter could fly some day near future.

I have been in Zhuhai for a few days. Today I finally have chance to get a closer look of the aircraft listed for this year’s event.
