The 6 Squadron was established on August 1, 1959, deployed at Chitose Air Base. It is the JASDF’s sixth squadron.
The 6 Squadron operated the F-86F Sabre before upgrading to F-1 in 1981. From 2004, the 6 Squadron began the transition to F-2.

It has been a decade since a US EP-3 crashed with a Chinese J-8 fighter. People seem to forget this at all. Funny that Chinese always remind others not to forget the history, which they seldom remember. Especially, this is not a graceful event or an event can serve any purpose.
Watching from the footage shoot by the EP-3, it seems that J-8 should take the responsibility. But a person lost his life in his position. It is sad that people intend to forget it.
